It would be cool to have a proper cruise missile that can hit targets that are hundreds of kilometers away. I'm not sure about the JASSM-ER classification.

AGM-158 JAASM is in DCS F-16 weapon list. So maybe we can believe that when they do it for the F-16, they will add it to the F-18. But I don't think it's going to be any time soon.

Maybe they are expecting it to be less classified when the f-16 gets released. There is still no JASSM-ER planned but that might be because of balance.

As they are simulating USN/USMC F/A-18C's and the Navy opted for the SLAM-ER over the JASSM I doubt we will see it. They certainly can be used by legacy Hornets (both the RAAF and the Finnish use them from legacy Hornets) but like some other overseas specific weapons (like the ASRAAM on RAAF F-18's) we probably won't see it.

 

They are used from USAF F-16's and F-15E's so perhaps on those aircraft we will see it.

Fat T is above, thin T is below. Long T is faster, Short T is slower. Open triangle is AWACS, closed triangle is your own sensors. Double dash is friendly, Single dash is enemy. Circle is friendly. Strobe is jammer. Strobe to dash is under 35 km. HDD is 7 times range key. Radar to 160 km, IRST to 10 km. Stay low, but never slow.
