Boomer_QLD Posted May 19, 2019 Posted May 19, 2019 Hi, I’m not sure this is a bug or just not done yet. After landing on the carrier in the F14, I taxi and park up. The ship is moving and rolling and I generally like to set the chocks to stop the aircraft moving back and forward while it refuels and rearms in close proximity to other parked aircraft in a multiplayer server. 1. If the engines are running as I’m re-fueling and re-arming the ground crew will not place the chocks. (Although they will for my squad buddies F18 parked next to me.) 2. With the engines turned off, the Chief acquiesces and says chocks are in place. The aircraft stops its deck shimmies and I go into external view and no chocks are visible. My multiplayer squad buddies chocks on the F18 are visible, but he cannot see mine either. It’s not a biggie, I’m just wondering if it’s not implemented yet or is an actual bug with the F14? Cheers Boomer
Love_Beam Posted May 20, 2019 Posted May 20, 2019 The F-14 slides all over the deck, it has caused some major issues for us trying to run ops. They will just slide into each other and blow up. The f-18's have no issues but the cats are ticking time bombs on deck.
Ducksen Posted May 23, 2019 Posted May 23, 2019 Absolutely! It seems that the F14B and other aircrafts are not bound to the carrier like they should. Some aircraft move more than others. The more the boat rocks in the ocean, the more the aircrafts move. It is like it is not linked to the carrier. And regardless of moving or not, wheel chocks are wanted. Seems to me to be a natural part of startup, loading of munitions, fueling, repair and shutdown.
