So...

We all know that the TM throttle TDC axis slew button sucks...

This mod is life changing. It takes about 30 min to install, and holy cow, I now have a working TDC. I need to do a bit more tuning on the axes but it's about 80% with just stock settings!

Nah, had it for several months, TDC slew in the Harrier is still acting up most of the time.

But I agree, it's great for other aircraft, even Razbam's own Mirage.

I use the coolie hat where your index-finger is positioned on the TM Hotas Throttle for slewing.

Same in the Hornet.

Does anyone know why the slewing works fine in the A-10, but not in F/A-18C and AV8B?

The one under you index finger is a regular HAT. Do you mean the one under you middle finger?

Hornet works ok, but it has this press&hold TDC requirement for slewing the Mavericks.

Im talking about the 8-Way HAT under the index. Not the one under the middle finger which has axis.

Hornet Attack-Radar slewing works fine, but the Maverick slewing is horrible.

Even with AP engaged the slewing while pressing the hat is nearly impossible for me.

Thats why i changed it to the 8-Way Hat.

Also tried to place the action-button somewhere else so im not pushing and slewing with the same finger, but that is also very hard.

For some reason slewing speed of the Maverick is too slow for my hand-eye-coordination.

Even after tuning the axis.

But im open to ideas of course.

I got it sort-of working, part of thats probably me though as I've been using the thumb hat on the throttle for TDC for most planes, which makes it very easy to precisely move on the X/Y axes. And yeah it seems to work better on the hornet radar which is the other place I've tested it, haven't tried mavs.

Its pretty easy to do. The hardest part for me was finding the location of the warthog windows calibration files, I'd check that part beforehand. Otherwise its pop out the old one, put in the new one and run the cal utility. Then reboot. Mine for some reason stopped recognizing the stick after I ran the utility but a reboot fixed it.
