Hoping someone here can post a screenshot with the F-18C template pointing me to the canopy bars where the canopy meets the windscreen. Can't find it!

Working on my first livery and getting close to being done, but can't find that part for the life of me.

AHH! Okay, after a day and a half I found the FRONT piece (windscreen) a couple mins after posting this, lol. Figures! Still looking for the canopy piece, however.

ETA: Found the canopy piece. Had the idea to open another livery (VMFA-323 Hi Viz) that had the piece painted, and found it that way.

Bump again.

Wingtip AIM-9 rails?? Any help in locating? I've been marking all of the suspect parts with random colors, but so far I can't find them.

It's on the second texture sheet with the wings. You mind if I ask what sort of livery you're working on?

Awesome, thank you!

This had to just be dumb luck, or how I had the layers at one point, because I painted those specific parts with a stand-out color and never saw the paint. It was so frustrating because I found the edge where the missile sits, but couldn't find the rest of the rails! I really appreciate it.

I'm making a set of liveries for our "BuDs" group (BusyDads, check Multiplayer section).

The first few came out well I think, but I still need to learn where all of the extra little "bits" are. I've read thru the pinned "F-18 Template Questions" thread at the top of this section a couple of times, and it was a big help, but it didn't answer all of the questions.

Ok, need more help....almost done with this thing!

These little "elbow" bits. Any ideas??

I believe you can find them on the same texture sheet near the top.

One strategy that I have used for finding specific parts on the texture sheet is to make a layer consisting of four different colored squares and placing it over the entire texture. I then export it out, find which color the piece you're looking for is on the model, and then scaling down and moving that whole squares layer to fit inside the square of whichever color you found on the model. Just keep repeating this process until you've narrowed your search down enough to find the part of the sheet that has what you're looking for.

*snip*

That's a great idea. Right now I've just been using random colors with lines, dots, numbers, etc to narrow it down. It's frustrating when you do all that and STILL can't find something.

FWIW, I had all of those parts that you boxed for me (thank you!) painted, and I still have a few missing bits. I'll go back and use that method of yours to find them.

I'm nowhere near the skill of you guys, but thought I would share my latest one with you- the one you've been helping with. Thanks again!
