@Chewmann Haven't been in the livery creation game for a while, but got any good reference pictures you can share? Haven't been able to find any good pics online from that time period.

Optics evidently not good enough to tell whether someone is an insurgent with an RPG or a reporter with a camera from about 1000 meters.

JTAC's GRID Coordinates are always far away from targets

Maybe this is your issue. When JTAC targets a group containing multiple enemy units, he will read out coordinates that describe the approximate location of all members of that group instead of coordinates for one specific enemy. For GBU employment this should not present an issue since the laser will designate one particular unit, but using these coordinates for JDAM is unlikely to result in a hit. To work around it use separate FAC-Assign Group commands for each unit you wish to target. -

Fantastic job, the Hornets limited texture resolution has always held back livery creators IMO. Do these larger resolution textures work out of the box and pass IC or do you have to modify other files for them to work?

The latest update adds support for this format, please let me know if you have issues with it as I'm not the most familiar with the Viper.

I'd make sure that none of the export plugin settings haven't changed during the update before anything else.

Like I said I know that you can see where the designated target is, but can you see where the TGP is looking on the HUD when no target is selected? It would be sweet if the JHMCS really has this new functionality, but I'm still a bit skeptical. -

If I understand correctly, does the JHMCS have a indicator for the where the TGP is pointing independent of the designated target that the HUD lacks? -

Anyone aware of how you actually interact with the ATARS? ie is there a DDI page to control it, is everything just set up on the ground and you just need to fly a certain course, etc.

It looks like your description.lua file was not set up correctly. My advice would be to take the description file from an existing livery and adapt the code to match whatever you have named your files, when I was starting out this was the easiest way for me to make sure my description code was correct :thumbup: EDIT: To be more specific, it looks like the roughmet texture (which controls texture properties like reflectivity and roughness) is not being loaded as it should, and the game instead uses the missing texture which is what causes the tiles and text. The pilot texture also appears to be not loaded correctly.

It's worth mentioning that the precision of generated coordinates isn't good enough to meet JDAM spec either, I hope some of these inherent inaccuracies get reflected in the sim eventually. -

Assuming that the part of the texture you're looking for is big enough, you can look at the name of the cell on the overlay and find that same one on the texture sheet.

Are you talking specifically about the gun funnel symbology? I haven't had any issues with the radar directed gunsight as you describe. -

If you're specifically looking for an overlay to help you, this one has been shared here before and can be pretty useful. http://www.pumaszallas.hu/Private/VO101_Tom/Panel_Finder_by_Tom_2_2048x2048.jpg It really takes a couple liveries to get a good feel for where each part of the model is on the texture sheet, but it often still is particularly tricky when you're trying to change large areas of the skin to another color or align things across texture seams.

Not entirely sure what is meant by "bullseye." Does that refer to the north arrow symbology or a different indication of the actual bullseye point?

Yep, IIRC the mode is called 'Control Stick Steering'.
