Ragnar65 Posted June 20, 2019 Posted June 20, 2019 Guys, when i look at the nozzle pos gauges, the indexer points to 80% while throttle is idle. When i push the throttle forwards, the nozzle position reduces... Is that a bug or correct? As far as i understand, pushing the throttle opens the nozzles, when in AB the nozzles should be open 100%, that´s what the manual says... Please gimme some advise... ;-) X-56 HOTAS, TFRP Pedals Modules: F-5E, FC3, F/A-18C, Mirage 2000 C, AV-8BNA, FW-190 A-8, F-16C Viper SystemSpecs: AMD A8-6600K (4x3,9GHz), 16 GB RAM, NVidia GeForce GTX1070 8GB, WIN10 64bit
AeriaGloria Posted June 20, 2019 Posted June 20, 2019 Not a dedicated eagle driver, but I know that in some modern planes like Flankers, the nozzles fully open at idle to reduce thrust and decrease braking distance. I feel like I have seen that behavior on American jets before... Black Shark Den Squadron Member: We are open to new recruits, click here to check us out or apply to join! https://blacksharkden.com
Emmy Posted June 20, 2019 Posted June 20, 2019 I’ve seen video where the nozzles first close as you approach Mil Power and then open again as the AB kicks in. The RW manual says the nozzles are at 80% at idle and they close to near minimum with advancing throttle position. With the landing gear handle up, the nozzles are near minimum at all times, except at MIL and above. At MIL the nozzle is 5-10% open. In the AB range the nozzles open to compensate for the higher fuel flow. Edited June 20, 2019 by bbrz i7-7700K 4.2GHz, 16GB, GTX 1070
