Does anyone know why there are green lines on the advisory panel above the right ddi, and amber lines under the hook, do they mean something or are they classified? Can’t imagine they are there for no reason.

As far as I can remember these advisory panels often have more lights then are needed. These lights just don't have a function behind them. If my memory is not wrong in this case, most aircraft I worked on while in the navy had some of these lights.

Not sure on the Hornet though.

They're there in case future upgrades to the jet require new advisory lights.

Also if something has been eliminated through the various lots it would be replaced with the dash. I.E. earlier hornets had lox instead of OBOGS so there was an advisory light for low oxy.
