Hiddenxreaper Posted June 26, 2019 Posted June 26, 2019 Does anyone know why there are green lines on the advisory panel above the right ddi, and amber lines under the hook, do they mean something or are they classified? Can’t imagine they are there for no reason.
MadCat1381 Posted June 26, 2019 Posted June 26, 2019 Can you provide us with a screenshot or a picture? Witch lines do you mean?

MadCat1381 Posted June 26, 2019 Posted June 26, 2019 As far as I can remember these advisory panels often have more lights then are needed. These lights just don't have a function behind them. If my memory is not wrong in this case, most aircraft I worked on while in the navy had some of these lights. Not sure on the Hornet though.
Harker Posted June 26, 2019 Posted June 26, 2019 They're there in case future upgrades to the jet require new advisory lights. The vCVW-17 is looking for Hornet and Tomcat pilots and RIOs. mongo52 Posted June 26, 2019 Posted June 26, 2019 Also if something has been eliminated through the various lots it would be replaced with the dash. I.E. earlier hornets had lox instead of OBOGS so there was an advisory light for low oxy.
