crazyave Posted June 26, 2019 Posted June 26, 2019 DCS Updater crash. I went to update to 2.5.5 and it stopped. Error attached.
crazyave Posted June 26, 2019 Author Posted June 26, 2019 I tried setting all permissions to full for this folder/file, no change. I even added EVERYONE and it still wouldn't delete the file. I had to delete it manually and then it moved to the next. After a bunch of these I finally gave up and am running a full repair, bummer!

No anti virus installed I tried a repair (of 2.5.4 since the 2.5.5 failed) and then tried the update again and it failed just the same! I've downloaded the whole thing three times now, so I'm just going to delete everything from my disk and start all over! Lame!!!

crazyave Posted June 26, 2019 Author Posted June 26, 2019 I did delete files manually, but it was going through hundreds of files and seemed to be no end in sight. Since I already spent hours downloading the update three times I decided to cut my losses and just delete every eagle dynamics file and registry key from my system and start from scratch. If it doesn't work this time I'll make a case.
crazyave Posted June 26, 2019 Author Posted June 26, 2019 The clean install did the trick, all better. That experience really sucked though, 150GB install! And I lost all my settings for everything. For the future, what files can I backup to save my settings at least?
