S77th-konkussion Posted September 19, 2007 Posted September 19, 2007 New computer is laughing at my old 19' CRT monitor. Prospective new monitor... http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=3143305&Sku=S203-2016 Opinions? The only question I have at the moment is whether or not I'll need to edit my config folder to have it display properly. 3Sqn_Sven Posted September 19, 2007 Posted September 19, 2007 Hey dude. I just upgraded from my 19inch crt yesterday to a viewsonic 22inch. IT"S AWESOME! I've got a shortcut to the config file in my quickstart toolbar so I can get to that file quickly. Well worth it. With regard to the monitor choice, I saw that one yesterday in the shop. I cannot tell the difference in quality between the various monitors like Chimie, V7, Viewsonic, Samsung etc. All made in China, you seem to pay for the brand name. I payed a few dollars more and got myself the best looking one IMO. 3Sqn - Largest distributor of Flanker, Fulcrum and Frogfoot parts in the Black Sea Region
Kuky Posted September 19, 2007 Posted September 19, 2007 I have 22" (Samsung) as well and I think they are well worth it... nice size...high resolution but not high enough you'd need SLI ;) All these 22" screens are made by chinese company (Chi-mei or something) and you'd pay more or less for different 22" because of more inputs, edjustable stands (for height/tilt etc) but overall they are very much the same... I got Samsung 225BW because to me it looked the best and it has height adjustable stand.
