WichitaMODEX Posted July 5, 2019 Posted July 5, 2019 Heatblur Devs, Love the F-14. I've always dreamed and hoped that someone would release an in depth F-14 simulation. That said, I do have one gripe. I usually use the assisted start-up option to start the aircraft. In order to "check" each item off, you currently have to press CTRL+4. CTRL+3 aborts the start-up process and causes Jester to stop running through his checklist (and I assume to undo the work already done). Because I usually play in the dark, I sometimes fat finger the CTRL+3 combination when I mean to press CTRL+4. Is there any way that abort start-up can be made to fit CTRL+2 on the Jester wheel instead of CTRL+3? Also, can we get a checklist on the kneeboard please? Thanks!
draconus Posted July 5, 2019 Posted July 5, 2019 Why don't you rebind the key you're uncomfortable with? Win10 i7-10700KF 32GB RTX4070S Quest 3 T16000M VPC CDT-VMAX TFRP FC3 F-14A/B F-15E CA SC NTTR PG Syria
Voyager Posted July 5, 2019 Posted July 5, 2019 Then every Jester command on that slot will be on an odd keybind. I'm usually using the mouse clicks and it is easy to catch the Halt/Catch Fire command by accident. It would be better if Jester was able to be commanded to start a new start-up after an abort/shutdown command.
WichitaMODEX Posted July 6, 2019 Author Posted July 6, 2019 I won't rebind because of precisely the issue that Voyager raises.
