BudgietheLittleHelicopter Posted July 25, 2019 Posted July 25, 2019 (edited) I noticed in the A10C campaigns Red hat, Piercing Fury and Enemy within 3.0 that the "kill list" (see picture, text left hand side) is frequently not fading away. It often stays there for the remainder of the mission. Secondly, I have noticed in these campaigns that sometimes the kill list from the previous mission is not reset, but is continued in the next mission. It is a useful feature for us ground pounders, but I think there is an error in the fade / reset function. I should add that I am running the latest stable version. ED Team BIGNEWY Posted July 25, 2019 ED Team Posted July 25, 2019 Hi I have tried to reproduce however it seems to be behaving correctly for me. The messages fade after a short time. Could you try a cleanup and repair, then retry. If you see the same behaviour please attach your dcs.log Thanks Forum rules - DCS Crashing? BudgietheLittleHelicopter Posted July 25, 2019 Author Posted July 25, 2019 Hi, I am om steam and I did the validate local files procedure, but no files were downloaded so probably nothing has changed. Is the cleanup and repair specific to the standalone version or can I use that on the steam version as well? Otherwise I guess I would have to do a clean install.
ED Team BIGNEWY Posted July 25, 2019 ED Team Posted July 25, 2019 Yes cleanup and repair is only for stand alone. Forum rules - DCS Crashing? BudgietheLittleHelicopter Posted July 30, 2019 Author Posted July 30, 2019 I did a full wipe and reinstall and that seems to have solved the issue. Some files were still from 2015 when I did the first install, so perhaps on the way something got corrupted.
