RAF Marham Families Day

Hey guys,

I had the privilege to attend RAF Marham's Families Day 2019. It's a mini air show that's free. A gift from the station to the serving personnel’s family and friends.

Families day gives you an incredible opportunity to get up close to aircraft that usually you can never get anywhere near. This year was pretty thin on the ground however there were visitors from the USAF including the F-15Es, CV-22 and KC135 and a very cordoned off F-35 fresh from their Atlantic flight. Flying was the Typhoon, Battle Of Britain Memorial Flight, Wildcat, Chinook and F-35B.

Was on the best and worst day as in England it was the hottest day of the year locally recorded temperature was recorded at 37°c (98.6°f). Which is pretty unbearable for us.

I watched that tanker, low over my house on the approach to Marham, on a very hot day. 38.5C recorded at my house, way too much for me.

 

 

Great pictures. At least that wasn't a wing nut on the radome. Now that would have been funny. :megalol:
