Hey there,

just wanted to ask whether the CCIP-Mode of the Hornet is feature-complete as is?

The A-10 has that nice MIN ALT setting available for the dumb bomb configuration profile and I wondered whether the Hornet has it too (and waits for it to be done) or not.

The bar mentioned in Wags video kinda works similar but I wonder where it takes its data from (it was frag alt or something if I remember correct). Is it hard coded or modyfiable?

As far as I understood, the MIN ALT in the A-10 gives you only a warning that you should not release the bomb, otherwise you possibly will get damaged, however the bomb will explode. The DUD cue in the hornet (the bar) tells you that if you release the bomb after the cue appeared, the bomb fuze doesn't have enough time to get armed and thus the bomb will not explode.

I could be wrong though

No, the function in the A-10 works differently. You can enter a desired min. alt and get a cue in the HUD for it. When you follow a Z-diagram for your bomb run and have the min-alt entered, it will indicate how to set your dive angle so you release the bomb(s) at the desired altitude. Doesn't remember the details so well though since I didn't fly the A-10 for quite a while

You're correct, I remember Wags saying that as well.

yeah, the CCIP mode is complete. The only thing not done yet for the 'original' weapons - guns, rockets, dumb/laser bombs - is Flight Director (FD) bombing mode and the ability to slave the gun/rocket CCIP reticle to 5,000ft range with Cage/Uncage.

Yeah, for the F-18 but not for the A-10C. ;)
