Hi, I use it with Oculus Rift S with medium settings for VR, lowered the AI number of aircraft with the radio menù ... everthing is ok with a good fps untill we reach the bomber formation. At that point the mix is unplayable in VR!

I have the Blue Bastards campaign for the P51 and I have no problem escorting the b17 formation, fps is fine .... but here I've to exit, no way to use it.

 

I7 8700K, 32gb RAM, 1080TI 11gb SSD

Try disabling wake turbulence, that solved it for most people.

Been playing the Campaign. A hoot to play and no FPS issues after disabled Wake Turbulence. Now flew mission 5 where we headed to bomb England at low level. Noted that the 3 other planes did not drop their bombs at all on target and flew back at some 280km/h and ran out of fuel over channel. All bailed out. I dropped bomb and got back. Also if doing a cold start the ground crew does not react to starter command. Otherwise enjoyed the campaign so far :)

Glad you are enjoying it and the fps issues are gone. I’m gonna have a look at mission 5. Sometimes they drop, sometimes they don’t, and AI fuel consumption is sometimes a mess. I’ll see what I can do, thanks for the feedback!

Hi, I like it so far. But please set the allied units to "hidden" in the ME, so they don't show up in the briefing (also true for all other campaigns). It kinda spoils the surprise if you start the mission and already see there's 4 Mustangs comming ;)

Haha, will do! But sometimes you won’t even cross paths with those units, so you never know ;)

Started flying this one today. Got to the 2nd mission had the same issues with the FPS. Going to try to disable the turbulence and report back. But, it looks like its going to be a lot of fun. Haven't gotten into the warbirds too much but this might have me hooked.

Open your control settings, there is a keyboard command to run the inertial starter. That will work. Sometimes the radio command doesn't work for me neither, but not only in this campaign.

One thing I once found was that apparently there's a relationship between this failure and the fact that the canopy is not oppened when you issue the command to the ground crew.

 

Most of the time it failled I had prematurely closed the canopy.

 

Not absolutely sure this is the culprit though...

I never bought any campaign for DCS - well, actually not true because I have uninstalled DCS a twice and killed my users... and in one of them, the original "jcomm" associated with this Forum account I did by a Spitfire Campaign, which I never actually played because it used to put my old rig to the low 10 fps...

 

But when I recently installed DCS again, and bought in the current promotional sale teh A-8 and again the Spitfire ( my only WW2 modules now - but I did have them all before... ) I found that running the default missions with lot's of aircraft including bombers around didn't have that much of a nasty effect on my fps ?

 

Wonder if this 109 campaign is smooth too ?

So far it’s been smooth for everyone as long as they disable wake turbulence, which is an fps killer.

If that is the case, you can check "The Big Show" (Spitfire) or "Blue Nosed Bastards of Bodney" (P-51) first ;)

JG 26 strips and camouflage

 

JG26 in your company had black and white strip around the airframe near tail in 1944-1945.It is possible to make thouse strips at the planes in a company update later?Maybe comоuflage to do difference?All german airplanes are gray.
