Shadow_1stVFW Posted August 7, 2019 Posted August 7, 2019 Should I be adjusting or setting the altimeter on start ups? How do you check the accuracy?Or when no ATIS is available, set your altimeter so that your indicated altitude matches the altitude you are at. You can check that by using the F10 and housing over your location, or the airfield center if you're a hard core realist (as that is what would be published) or 70' for the boat. Nascar Posted August 9, 2019 Author Posted August 9, 2019 Thanks for the replies. I was trying the F10 for the Stennis and it gave me 68ft. Where is the ATIS info? In the kneeboard? QuiGon Posted August 9, 2019 Posted August 9, 2019 You'll find the pressure that you have to set, either in regards to mean sea level (QFE) as well as in regards to your starting airbase altitude (QNH), in the weather section of the briefing (Alt + B). Intel i7-12700K @ 8x5GHz+4x3.8GHz + 32 GB DDR5 RAM + Nvidia Geforce RTX 2080 (8 GB VRAM) + M.2 SSD + Windows 10 64Bit DCS Panavia Tornado (IDS) really needs to be a thing!
