Does Jester automatically change azimuth to keep target in track when cranking?

Four scenarios:

(1) TWS has targets up ahead, classified, prioritized

(2) TWS has targets up ahead, classified, prioritized AND supporting Phoenix missles in the air toward them

(3) Target is in STT lock

(4) Target is in STT lock, and supporting Sparrow in the air toward them

In which of these scenarios do I have to explicitly command Jester to rotate the radar azimuth to keep the targets painted while I crank (say 30-45 deg either way)?

I am hoping that for (2), (3), (4) Jester or the radar system would do this automatically for me without me requesting?

In STT, the radar will automatically move the antenna towards the target. In TWS MAN (the only TWS mode we currently have), the antenna az/el is not controlled automatically and has to be set by the RIO. Jester cannot do that unfortunately, regardless of PH being guided or not. However, we will get the TWS AUTO mode, where the WCS will automatically slews the antenna towards the centroid of the priority TWS tracks.

So to answer your question, you have to explicitly tell Jester to slew the radar in scenarios (1) and (2). Keep in mind that the elevation commands for jester are rather coarse (low/middle being -16° radar elevation angle). This is pretty much useless unless you are way above and close to the bandit. I recommend staying at roughly the same altitude as the bandit for now when enganging in TWS.
