As you can tell from the picture, I am in need of a new cable but. I'm hoping one of you can tell what the connector type is.

I can reuse the DIN connector but I would like to purchase a new pre-wired connector, but I don't know what it is. My best guess is that it's a JST 6 pin 2.0mm PH type. Not being a hobbyist in the electronics field I really have no idea what I'm looking at and we don't seem to have any decent electronics stores in Las Vegas where I can go look at them with my own eyes.

I sent him a PM to see if he still some laying around.

How the hell to you remember all this stuff in the forums. You got a photographic memory or something?

Thanks Aurelius, that really helps. I thought about fixing this cable but decided to replace it because of the small area it has to pass through from behind the magnet for the HALL sensor. Also I don't have any 22 gauge wire laying around.

Since i'm overhauling the rest of the stick I figured on all new parts rather than repair...in case I decide to sell it on. Can you say Virpil. You can see pic's in my other post as to the state I received this stick in.

Haha, forgot to check which side the notch in the ball was on when you greased your Warthog? Easily repaired honestly, you can solder the wires back and put tiny pieces of heat shrink on them (slip a piece on before soldering). I've done this repair before without splicing in new wire and it's fine.

Wasn't me. I bought it knowing there was something wrong with it. I just didn't expect King Kong to have taken a whack at it.

If you look at my other post you'll see that the articulation ball was smashed and the CMS switch post was twisted almost in two parts. The only thing keeping it together was that the material was fibrous.:joystick:

Please don't take offence to this... but I have no idea why anybody would buy a used Warthog. With so many possibly things that could be wrong with it and its future longevity so largely impacted by how well its treated it just seems massively risky to me. Now Don't misunderstand me, I like the warthog (I have two!) but I'd never buy a used one sight unseen.

I don't disagree. I have another post called "Is the Warthog worth it. A rant". But it's learning experience for me and frankly, the Virpil is, 1 to expensive, 2 I don't like the Soviet layout, and 3 my warthog stick works on top of a Virpil base.

I still don't see a throttle that I like. They try to be something for everybody assuring that nobody is really happy with them. Even the Warthog throttle leaves me wanting even when I fly the A10.

I ordered the cables, https://www.ebay.com/itm/Mini-Micro-ZH-1-5mm-6-Pin-JST-Connector-with-Wire-x-10-sets-New/253365092447?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649, and got these. Wrong type. The entire 6 pin connector in only 5 pins wide on the cable that I got. Guess I'll try again. I've ordered a set of 1.25mm cables.

Since PS2 connector require only 5 wires, remove - using a needle, the metal pins with wires from the they new (wrong) cable, insert in original connector, solder the wires in accord.

I re-read my last post and it's confusing. What I meant to say is that the cable I got have 6 pins but the whole thing, being on a 1.5mm pitch, is about 2mm to wide. I've reordered the cables with a 1.25mm pitch. Anybody need a 1.5mm pitch JST cables?

I almost forgot. Does anybody know of a better replacement for the WH stick thumb switch? I've look at Digikey and Mouser but cant find one. Nor can I find a replacement for the switch at the bottom of the switch. It's the same little switch that at the heart of all the push button switchs on the WH.

You mean the HAT in middle of left side of grip?

This piece you can buy only from Thrustmaster, or buy a expensive "military" type from OTTO - see in Mouser.

But you can replace the micro-switches inside, look for OMRON B3F series, 6x6mm, not sure about high, if possible measure the originals.

Yeah, that's the one.

Damn your right about Otto being expensive. The cheapest listed is $88. I think I'll order several of the tactile switches and see which one makes the best replacement for what's in there.

The cheap little thing that's in there now is 1cm x 1cm x @1.5mm.
