Idle detent(OFF/IDLE) for TM Warthog

Hey all,

 

By no means any "serious" issue but wondering if there is an appropriate mapping option for the Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS to properly emulate/simulate the OFF and IDLE positions for the F/A-18C? Works just fine in the A10C Warthog module of DCS, with full AFT positioning of the throttle(s) being able to shut down the engine(s). For some reason, not able to replicate that in the F/A-18C. I can get them to engage the IDLE position, but when moving them full AFT, doesn't shut down the engine(s). Figured I was missing something (probably a simple key bind or axis bind), but away from home base and would be appreciated if there is a solution to be able to implement it upon my return to home base and following flights.

Try button 29 for right engine off and button 30 for left engine off. These two switches are triggered when you lift the two throttle levers back over the idle detent.

This is what I have for the Left and Right Idle cutoffs

MapKey(&Throttle[color=#ffffff],[/color]IDLEROFF, PULSE + Throttle_Right_IDLE);    
MapKey(&Throttle[color=#ffffff],[/color]IDLERON, PULSE + Throttle_Right_OFF);

MapKey(&Throttle[color=#ffffff],[/color]IDLELOFF, PULSE + Throttle_Left_IDLE);
MapKey(&Throttle[color=#ffffff],[/color]IDLELON, PULSE + Throttle_Left_OFF);

 

 

Of course you'll have to replace the Throttle bits with actual commands.

Thanks for the replies. I will try the button 29/30 option first. Not the best with jumping into the "coding" bit of DCS but will try if no luck on the first one.

The idle cutoff bindings definitely work.

Thanks for the help all. Was able to successfully bind button 29 and button 30, although it took a second attempt after realizing I needed to bind "left throttle off/idle" and "right throttle off/idle" respectively. First time I accidentally bound them for "left throttle off" and "right throttle off" - which I am sure you can see what issue I ran into there.....
