Airpots, Waypoints (name, nav data) compared to A10C

I was wondering that the F18 has less waypoint information than the a10c, or am I wrong?

 

 

In the A10C I can give the waypoint a name, that is quite usefull. Ok, there's no pad to enter letters in the F18... or?

 

 

Also, in the A10C I can choose a different airport through the divert page on the MFD and got all the information about ILS, etc. In the F18 I have to enter the airport location manually by creating an waypoint and entering the coords (from the F10 map), because most of the airports don't have TACAN or VOR (ADF) information.

 

 

 

How do you handle this? Do you use the kneeboard a lot?

I was wondering the same, but I think that when we get GRID coordinates and full GPS/INS implementation on Hornet it will be the same level like A-10C, even more advanced.

AFAIK, DCS: A-10C models the aircraft and its avionics for 2007. The F-18C is for 2005. I also think (based on personal observations) that the Warthog generally has a better NAV suite than the Hornet. We're not even sure if we're getting TAMMAC in the latter. Hence, I wouldn't expect the Hornet's navigation avionics to be as good as the Warthog's, but I expect that they'll be pretty good regardless.
