cmbaviator Posted August 20, 2019 Posted August 20, 2019 Hi guys, i've invested in the Logitech X56. As the engine idle N1 is at around 50%, there is like almost half of throttle deflection that is useless, the N1 only start rising when i go over 50% of deflection (throttle in the cocktpit not moving) on my X56, thus making the throttle input very sensitive. is there a way to add a kind of offset, where my throttle thinks that at the lowest deflection, I am at 50%. Is weird because on Xplane or P3DV4, the softwre, the engine idle are ususally around 20% N1 and when I move the throttle, it reacts accordingly, there is no deadzone. any ideas ?

Check your axis assignment in ED control menu. Sometimes you can have multiples axis assigned to the same effect in game, which creates cross input. Mirage fanatic ! Wavehopper Posted August 20, 2019 Posted August 20, 2019 Re-calibrate the throttle. Be sure to actually center the throttle when it asks you to otherwise it will only give you 50% throttle range. I had this issue too after trying X-Plane as that sim forces you to calibrate the devices. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCC9G7AVfi68SovXCTCH-7fA

I had this issue too after trying X-Plane as that sim forces you to calibrate the devices. i think I wasn't clear enough, i can get move my throttle into the A/B position. The issue is that I think that my yoke thinks like that : 0% deflection = Idle , 50% deflection= 50% n1 / 100% deflection = A/B, The issue is that M53 engine has an idle at N1 = 50% so my 0-50% deflection range is useless, i only have 50% range left for IDLE to A/B, thus making the slightest input very sensible. Is there a way to DCS believe that my yoke starts at 50% of N1 ?

jojo Posted August 20, 2019 Posted August 20, 2019 will do what do you mean by windows ? Sorry, it seems to have changed in Windows parameters. With the X-55 I can still calibrate joystick, but not throttle. In task bar search paste "joy.cpl" Mirage fanatic !
