I don't know about real life system but in LockOn it will only show targets headings and range (but range is already shown on HUD anyway) and once you lock one target you won't see other contacts any more, so no, you can't lanuch on multiple targets like you can in F-15.

I've noticed many of the russian planes have TWS, is it anything like the F-15C were you can launch at multiple targets?

MiG-29S can, but it's not modelled in LO 'coz of lack of info about this mode.

In reality, the bi-target mode used on MiGs and Flankers is a "shared STT" mode, not a TWS. It is used to guide two R-27s at the same time, on targets flying close to each other ;)

About the efficiency of this system, you can see the kill records of the Erythrea-Ethiopia war ... PK = 0 ;)

Don't know at wich distance they fired, anyway...

MiG-29s scored 2 R-27R kills, 2 R-73 kills and 1 gun kill.

Su-27s scored 5 R-27R kills and 3 R-73 kills.

All R-27R kills involved multiple missile launch. Red this on a site reporting scorings in different theaters, can't remember wich one unfortunately.
