driverless vehicles?!

When the British ground units (land-rover, rapier sam etc.) were released last year, they came without a visible driver/crew model.

 

 

Back then, i thought this was great, as i expected proxy models to be enabled at a later stage, which would allow to configure the units dynamically (Have different types of crew depending on faction, era, scenario etc.).

 

 

But until now the new units are still driverless ghost vehicles. Is it still planned to dynamically populate ground vehicles with crew, or was it just a weird artistic decision to have ground units driverless from now on?

 

 

It would be great, if we f.e. could have the WWII AAA populated with modern (insurgent) crew and that generally all crew would look like it comes from the respective nation (also the ability to have "statics" or parked vehicles without a visible driver if so desired...).

Yeah true,

I would be happy even with one driver than no driver at all. Maybe there is a plan to it, who (besides ED) knows, but it seems that new models are like that.

Yes, no driver at all would be the worst and a very weird decision.

Given how insanely high quality all the new assets are, i find it hard to believe, that we will be stuck with self-driving cars forever.

We already know, that we will get deck crew, cows (honestly looking forward to them) and other improvments to combined arms.

Given that, vehicle drivers and crew are a realistic expectation one would think...
