nikita_nomad Posted September 16, 2019 Author Posted September 16, 2019 I think it mostly can be reduced to 2 factors: - something recorderd in 2k shrinked to fullHD (like SSAA is doing) - youtube compression also adds some smoothing Could be..By the way, which gpu/cpu would be good for more then 1080 res? I'm thinking of upgrading in the future and start to look around for components..

Svsmokey Posted November 28, 2019 Posted November 28, 2019 At 1080p , i had the best results with MSSA x2 and SSAA x1.5 . That with a 1070 . I don't know if a 970 (turbo) can handle those or not . 9700k @ stock , Aorus Pro Z390 wifi , 32gb 3200 mhz CL16 , 1tb EVO 970 , MSI RX 6800XT Gaming X TRIO , Seasonic Prime 850w Gold , Coolermaster H500m , Noctua NH-D15S , CH Pro throttle and T50CM2/WarBrD base on Foxxmounts , CH pedals , Reverb G2v2
DimSim Posted July 17, 2020 Posted July 17, 2020 I wish ED added CMAA as alternative to FXAA. It tends to produce a similar quality of edge smoothing without the extreme blurring of FXAA. CMAA can be implemented as near drop in solution similar to FXAA with freely available code. nVidia is unlikely to add driver support for this as the technique was developed by Intel and exists in Intel driver options. For cockpit sims we need high contrast and color to read gauges and dials at distance, without zooming in all the time.

Yeah, same with my 2060 Super. Those are pretty good settings for a mid-range machine. I did some comparison you can see here https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1ov9120fk_ej_XhbvPgWrYtgDk7WTG1SzdObXBEw8vjg/edit?usp=sharing

I personally cannot use SSAA as i now fly exclusively in VR . 4x MSSA is not possible with a 1070 in VR as well . Still , i gleaned some good info that perhaps can apply to VR so thanks , and again , very well done vid .
