NYDCSPlayer
First for me, but my AA Radar ended up only sweeping only the right side of radar display. Even when I changed my range from 60 to 140 it only stayed on right hand side. I could not get it to unlock itself. Turned Radar from AA to AG and back. Tried to lock, it would sweep in "captain bars" but then returns to right side. Could not change the elevation also. I am finding it difficult to sometimes keep a lock on a target, with or without SA/AWACS. Thanks
JayBird
Could be stupid to ask, but does the Hornets radar even slow in DCS? I thought this was a missing feature currently. NYDCSPlayer
Not that I am aware of. I also thought that there was no manual slew so when the scan was only on the right hand side after trying to lock a target. No matter what I did I could not get it to scan the full say left to right. Even using 1B to 6B and 140 to 20 to 140, etc... New one for me. maths314
I believe it's a bug if you switch scan width while in spot mode.
Stubbies2003
I've seen this bug a few times and it isn't limited to right side as I've seen it left side. The annoying thing is I haven't found a way to un-bug it once it get there. Cycling through all different azimuth scans doesn't fix it. Changing AAM to guns and back doesn't do it. Recycling power on the FCR doesn't do it. Moving a target to the side it is scanning and locking it then dragging it to the other side and unlocking doesn't do it. The Rset option on the FCR page doesn't seem to do anything that I see in the FCR and definitely didn't fix this issue either. The only thing I've found to fix it is get a new aircraft. Thankfully this has been a rare bug and I've only seen it twice.
NYDCSPlayer
Its also new for me too, just happened a few times. I haven't quite figured out what sequence inputs from me are getting it "stuck" there, but it is intermittent. I do love this jet and am very excited for the Viper also, my thought process is both systems have to be very simulare to "simulate" so hopefully changes and updates will be rapid on both simultaneously. . Ziptie
LHAQ will allow "manual slewing" of the Radar, but it is directly linked to your head movement with the JHMCS enabled. Other than that, there is no true manual slewing of the radar of the Hornet within DCS (at least for the moment) - unless you are considering the radar elevation control "slewing" but that would be a stretch of terminology. Rom_un
I've had the same issue mostly on left side, without JHMCS. Can't reproduce it exactly for me but its after a STT lock that failed when not using 140° scan.
