CBStu Posted September 25, 2019 Posted September 25, 2019 Flying the mission Red Rover in a P51D. I take out the first AN26 and head back north again and see an AN30 (I think) and line up on it. The briefing says they will launch a new plane every time I down one so I am think this may be some great practice but...BAM I get taken out. I had seen something coming (using labels) but didn't think to try to read the label. After I die, I look at the F10 map and there is a SAM site up there at the same field the ANs have been coming from. SAMs in WWII?
