Is it possible to set the following programming?

QTY:1

MULT:2

INT:100

Or does the QTY value needs to be 2.

Can MULT > QTY?

For non math nerds

Can QTY be less than the value of MULT?

To achieve two drops, with one depression of the weapon release button, with 100 foot separation would need to be:

QTY: 2

MULT: 1

INT: 100

The QTY needs to be the larger number, for the weapon release to function properly. If you had the quantity and multiplier set to the same number, they would all drop at the same time, without separation. Example: QTY 4, MULT 4 - you would get no separation interval option and all 4 weapons would release from the aircraft at the same time. Hope that makes sense.

In regards to setting it QTY: 1 MULT: 2 (or the multiplier > quantity as you asked) - I've never even attempted that as the logic doesn't seem appropriate, therefore never bothered with it as you would just depress the weapon release button twice to achieve two individual releases, and not sure a human would be able to release the weapon on any kind of accurate separation in terms of a specific foot/meter interval.... You could always try, but seems to me you would possibly get a DUD or BREAK X cue, or simply not able to employ the weapon system at all. But you could test that one yourself if you felt inclined.

QTY is the total number of bombs you want to come off the plane when you push the button

MULT is the number of pylons you want bombs to come off of at the same time

So:

QTY2 MULT 2 means when you push the pickle button you will get 2 bombs come off 2 pylons at the same time

QTY2 MULT 1 INT XXX means 2 bombs will come off, one at a time with XX separation

QTY4 MULT 1 INT XXX means 4 bombs come off one at a time with XX separation

QTY4 MULT 2 INT XXX means 4 bombs will come off, two at a time with XX separation between the pairs

Since QTY is the total number of bombs that you want to release, MULT cannot be a bigger number, it can be equal but not bigger.

Also MULT only works with separate pylons, NOT dual ejector racks, If you have 4 bombs on 2 pylons on dual racks, you can only select a max MULT of 2, since both bombs cannot be dropped at the same time on dual racks.

Great explanation!

Also I believe the weapon release button has to be held down for the entire time all the bombs take to release...at least this is what I believe I read.

It is best practice to hold the weapon release button until the full extent of any weapon program has completed.
