What is Pixel Density

I apologize if this is already posted and will happily follow a link if provided. I did a search and didn't find what I was looking for right away.

Can someone explain what this setting actually is and what it does.

Is there a thread that explains what each graphics/VR setting actually does and how it affects VR and overall performance?

But, mostly, what is pixel density and what does it do, exactly???

What is Pixel Density

It is a form of supersampling. PD of 1.5 means having both horizontal and vertical pixels 1.5x normal. So if your default graphic setting is 1000 x 1000 pixels, then the final resolution will be 1500 x 1500. This is how you can get increased clarity in VR at the cost of performance.

Thanks,

I figured it was something like that. I was just curious as, it really doesn't seem to have to much of an effect.

I'm surprised you say that because it's one of the most obvious ways to increase visual quality in VR (at the cost of huge performance). If you try to read the text in your cockpit with PD 1.0 and then 1.5 you should see a pretty significant difference in sharpness of text.

Samsung Odyssey +

We'll have to see if an O+ user can verify what you're seeing with yours. With the HP Reverb, its normal not to see any increase in visual quality with an increase in DCS PD due to its high native resolution. Not sure if the O+ is the same way.
