maxTRX Posted October 5, 2019 Posted October 5, 2019 Again, one of those beer induced, placebo changes or is it? Has anyone tried high alpha maneuvers, pirouettes, etc. in this build? I tried some of this stuff in the previous version... didn't look pretty at all. Nothing in the changelog so it must be beer:drink: Lots of yaw moment with or without burners
VDV Posted October 5, 2019 Posted October 5, 2019 What exatcly you dont like in FM? FM is realistic, it was discussed here by real pilots, and they said that is OK.

I don’t think he is complaining about anything. In fact, to me it seems the opposite. But fairly certain you’ll get a follow up response to clarify that. Beer was not realistic:P I have no problems at all with the current UA fm. We've had it already a while back then it changed... now, it's back. Could be something in my head or my setup or... I'm not a Hornet's FM authority, simply making observations and comparisons. I do "know" quite a bit about it though. PS. I haven't tested the entire FM envelope... with drag, accelerations, rates, etc. so I'm not claiming the entire FM is superb... this would take a while and I know few other 'test' pilots will try to dissect every part of it. Preendog Posted October 5, 2019 Posted October 5, 2019 Never play without beer and I didn't notice a change in the last version or two. The drifty barrel rolls were always possible so long as your AoA didn't get so high the FCS locked you out. Maybe you were a different weight than usual? Full fuel plane is a different animal than lo fuel plane.

My rudder pedals have definitely more authority now. Oh and yes, it was a loaded roll, I cut out the wrong part of the original vid. The 'classic' pirouette was right before this roll. Anyways, I could've rolled out in the opposite direction from this roll.
