Hi,

I'm new to dcs (coming from bms...)

What are the "special for joystick buttons?"

I tried to assign them to a specific key on my X56 controller.

e.g.

AutoPiolot ROLL Switch - HDG SEL/ALT HOLD.

It really forces me to hold my key pressed and when i release it goes back to it middle neutral position.

So what is the use of it - this button should be toggled and not held.

What do these "special for joystick" button actually do?

Thanks

These are for 2 position and 3 position toggle switches. These are on off or on off on switches that stay in position. If you bind it to a push button or a momentary switch, as i think that is what you have bound it to, the switch in game will flip on then off as you release it.

Yep, As Baldawg says its for things like the Warthog Throttle which is covered in 2 and 3 position switches, so its very useful to have a binding which can stay on until the switch is actually turned off.

Thanks,

Yes the X56 switches are momentary switches.

BTW, I could not find any Pinky switch which changes FOV in many scenarios.

e.g. narrow/wide FOV for the TGP.

I currently set it to LMFD OSB#3 but this will not work for the RMFD
