lion737 Posted October 20, 2007 Posted October 20, 2007 I just upgraded to a Dual Core CPU (6850). The FPS almost doubled !! I had a Athlon 4000+ before. That is much more than i could expect. The WinXP Task Manager shows both CPUs with a load of 60-80 percent. Any explanations ??
Kuky Posted October 20, 2007 Posted October 20, 2007 That's normal because lockon does not utilise both cores and o/s balances the load of 1 cpu that lockon needs onto both cores... once you add little bit more of CPU power required to run o/s and few other programs (ventrilo/TS/TrackIR etc) you end up with what your task manager is showing...
