mthatdan Posted October 24, 2019 Posted October 24, 2019 Would be great to have an in game, easy to use, method to extract instruments, gauges, cockpit displays etc, to multiple screens. Or a third party program which would accomplish the same If such a thing already exists, link please. Thanks, aka Badger X570 Aorus Master, Ryzen 3700X @3.8, 32GB DDR4@3200,RTX1070 Super, GTX 1070Ti, Win 10 Home, HOTAS Cougar, and some other DoDads
Capn kamikaze Posted October 27, 2019 Posted October 27, 2019 I'd like something like this that extracts not images of the instruments, but the data in real time, in a way that can be sent to something like an Arduino over USB, for driving virtual cockpit instruments.

Thanks, Search for "HELIOS" I'd like something like this that extracts not images of the instruments' date=' but the data in real time, in a way that can be sent to something like an Arduino over USB, for driving virtual cockpit instruments.[/quote'] Search for "DCS BIOS" The pit-builders section of the input-output subforum will prove helpful to both questions . 9700k @ stock , Aorus Pro Z390 wifi , 32gb 3200 mhz CL16 , 1tb EVO 970 , MSI RX 6800XT Gaming X TRIO , Seasonic Prime 850w Gold , Coolermaster H500m , Noctua NH-D15S , CH Pro throttle and T50CM2/WarBrD base on Foxxmounts , CH pedals , Reverb G2v2
Viper1970 Posted July 1, 2020 Posted July 1, 2020 Neither HELIOS nor DCS BIOS is easy to use! If you want to use MFD's and gauges with more than one module in your homepit, you could work for months to get this running. You have to adjust sizes and cordinates via external paintprograms and counting the pixels to get the gauges fit your display-frames mounted in front of your external monitors. Then you have to edit the monitor files, test your adjustments and do it once again if it doesn't fit. It's really a pain for one module, but if you want to use different modules this is really no solution. There exist simple what you get is what you see solutions for other flight simulators since many years, so why is this such a problem in DCS? Such a thing would be a nice addon module even if you have to pay for it. I would really spent 100-200$ for such an addon to save me the endless time for fiddle about cordinates, pixelssize and edit LUA-scripts just to have some gauges on external monitors at the right position and size.
