LeCuvier Posted October 26, 2019 Posted October 26, 2019 With 4 JSOW's under the wings, I can hardly exceed a speed of 300 kt unless I use afterburner, even after transition to level flight at about 30,000 ft. I need to fly with afterburner for quite a while in order to reach 400 kts, which seems to be required to pack enough energy into the JSOW so that I can launch from a safe distance when I attack a S-300 radar battery. Is the drag of the JSOW realistically modelled? Preendog Posted October 27, 2019 Posted October 27, 2019 JSOW drag is bad but not quite the worst: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=245521&highlight=jsow
