chn6 Posted November 2, 2019 Posted November 2, 2019 (edited) I don't know if it is not finished or a bug. AIM-7F will not be interfered by chaff at all, too strong  Edited November 10, 2019 by IronMike [sIGPIC]http://forums.eagle.ru/signaturepics/sigpic87046_1.gif[/sIGPIC]
BlackPixxel Posted November 2, 2019 Posted November 2, 2019 (edited) ED is aware https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=4092722&postcount=6949 The F-14 now got the updated Aim-7 from the F-15C/F-18, which has this bug. It was written in the Aim-7 thread that the Aim-7 is not chaffable and the tests in the thread showed that it does not go for chaff, but it got the new Aim-7 anyway. chn6 Posted November 5, 2019 Author Posted November 5, 2019 Thank you, that is something for ED to fix however. In the mission editor of DCS, there are now two AIM-7Fs. Is it a bug? [sIGPIC]http://forums.eagle.ru/signaturepics/sigpic87046_1.gif[/sIGPIC]
IronMike Posted November 6, 2019 Posted November 6, 2019 In the mission editor of DCS, there are now two AIM-7Fs. Is it a bug? The payload menu should show only 1 version (I just confirmed, it does), the warehouse however should show indeed 2 versions, as one is the normal one used by other aircraft, and the other is ours, which is tilted by 45° (only difference), so that it can be hung in the tunnel stations. If you have a mission where you want Tomcats to use it, thus always enable both, or in general, since there is unfortunately no way to tell you which is which without changing its designation (which we shouldn't). BlackPixxel Posted November 6, 2019 Posted November 6, 2019 The chaff issue appears to be fixed, at least according to todays change log!
Airhunter Posted November 7, 2019 Posted November 7, 2019 Had a 7M eat chaff in the cat. So yeah I guess.
