bonesvf103 Posted November 14, 2019 Author Posted November 14, 2019 Oh, that's actually the first time I hear this. In that case I wonder what is correct, the way it works ingame currently or the way it is described in the manual? From what I've understood and experienced in the game, I think the 1000 ft and 2000 ft apply when you don't have a radar lock and have guns selected. Otherwise, with radar lock, the diamond shows where the locked target is and the cross pipper shows where the bullets will go. After firing, the diamond will blink showing where the bullets actually went then go back to the lock target. v6, boNes "Also, I would prefer a back seater over the extra gas any day. I would have 80 pounds of flesh to eat and a pair of glasses to start a fire." --F/A-18 Hornet pilot
QuiGon Posted November 14, 2019 Posted November 14, 2019 AFAIR there was some thread recently where I mentioned that and you were there... I do not own any weapon delivery docs so I don't know which one is correct. Devs? Alright, I must have missed that response then :music_whistling: From what I've understood and experienced in the game, I think the 1000 ft and 2000 ft apply when you don't have a radar lock and have guns selected. Yes, the 1000ft and 2000ft indications only apply if no target is locked, as otherwise you would get a precise lead indicator for the gun for the current range to target. Well the diamond requires more lead than the pipper when maneuvering, seems to indicate it's looking further ahead than the pipper.
