This is a rather minor bug, that shouldnt affect actual gameplay, but here goes.

In singleplayer, if you go into the RIO seat, and eject only yourself, leaving the pilot inside, and then press F1 to toggle between the pilot and the RIO, you will not have any control over the aircraft, and will see the low poly pilot body, as seen from outside, and on ejected pilots.

Here's an exact list of things i've done to achieve this. Didn't make any further tests, cause i ran out of time, but hopefuly you guys will be able to make more of it.

-spawn airborne tomcat

-jettison canopy (oops)

-hop into back seat

-eject rio

-press F1 to toggle between pilot and rio

-notice no control in the pilot seat, and low poly pilot body, despite high poly cockpit and same textures as in the cockpit.

As i said, it's a minor bug barely anyone will run into, nor will it ruin many moments, but i thought i'd bring it up anyway.

Also, thanks a lot for the amazing module the F-14 is, and for active community managment! You guys rock!

Thanks, I think this is an issue tracked a long time ago and stacked somewhere very very close to the bottom of the priority list, hehe... One of those things that are so randomly hidden and rare that they thankfully do not really impact gameplay.

On the topic of ejection shenanigans, if the pilots ejects without the RIO, the RIO still sees the pilot in the front seat.

To duplicate (as RIO):

  1. Find a willing test partner or unwilling victim to be your pilot.
  2. Ensure the Pilot ejection seat is armed and disarm your own seat.
  3. Set the command ejection lever aft.
  4. Initiate ejection sequence and watch the pilot be in two places at once!

Disclaimer: I have never done this to an unsuspecting pilot; I've always warned them ahead of time with a maniacal laugh! Stupid RIO tricks indeed! :D
