saitek rudder pedals

Ok, I really like them (The rudder function at least), but I can't seem to get them programmed right. In the editor, I set the toe brakes to use the "W" key (wheel brakes) when pushed past 50%. Nothing happens in lock on. I opened up MS Word and I can't type. I can do this with my X52. Why is this happening? The same is the case with my Saitek gamer's keyboard command pad thingie.

Have you tried the beta drivers from the SAITEK-forums already??

 

I run X-52pro + SAITEK Rudder Pedals + Gamer Command Unit and all runs fine.

Yes, I'm running the beta SST.

 

I think it's a vista problem. I don't know how to run the profiles or whatever under administrator.

Take a look at the attached picture. That's how I did it and it works very nice.

I understand how to program it and have done so. However, even after I load the profile, the command does not work. (As in, it's not doing the W command!)

 

EDIT Never mind. I reinstalled the drivers and it worked. (It seems only the beta ones work...)

Aeroscout, can you post the link to the recent beta release of drivers. I too have had problems with the toe break in IL2 and LOMAC. I am sure I can find them however I would like to make sure I am working from the same drivers as you installed.

mY Saitek Beta Profiles are loaded .. unzip them into an empty directory and take what you like..

Even though I use WinXP, they are still they are still for same Saitek beta...

 

Includes: IL-2 and LockOn:FC (Includes LockOn:fc Pedals Profile)

 

I cant remember which flight sim uses some in game scrip mofication for differentaial braking, or using both pedals for brakes... you have to look that up,, I forgot where that info is..

id0 = rudder pedals

id1 = joystick

only left pedals

AXE_RZ JoystickDevice0=rudder

AXE_X JoystickDevice1=aileron

AXE_X JoystickDevice0=brakes

AXE_Y JoystickDevice1=elevator

AXE_Z JoystickDevice1=-power

both pedals :

AXE_RZ JoystickDevice0=rudder

Thanks Ramstein, I will download the profile when I return from a business trip. I have an X45. I assume there a two seperate profiles for the pedals and your X52?

What is the Pro extension at the end of the profile. Non of the ones I made have this extension. I downloaded the latest drivers and it will not recognize the pro extension. Any ideas?

I have the Saitek X52 Pro and uses a pro profile I also use the Saitek beta software and Beta Drivers...... I stated all this in my post..

Thanks Ramstein, the problem I am having now is I installed the beta2 for my x45 and pedals over the existing drivers, reprogrammed the profile and all kinds of funny stuff is happening. The last time this happened I unistalled all the saitek software and reinstalled each piece. I installed the Beta following the order they suggested but when I engaged buttons I have mapped other aircraft functions would react, i.e. when I tried to increase radar range I ejected from the aircraft, annoying to say the least!

 

If anyone has any tips regarding Beta2 drivers for the X45 and Pedals I am all ears as I start my install all over again tonight.:joystick::doh:

did you install both the Beta Sofware an Beta Drivers? (you need both if you use that)

 

Also, You don't need the Beta,,, just use the regular version,, as the new Beta is for a few more stick features that you probably don't need.. and the regular rudder software/drivers work fine.
