muehlema
Hi I am wondering why the F16C cannot communicate neither with AWACS nor with the Stennis. It is working on the F18. In the COM dialog, Wingman is OK, Batumi is OK and for AWACS is N/A, same for the carrier. I am on Autotune. But even if I set COM2 to 131.00 which the AWACS is on, I receive no response. Either I am doing something wrong, there is bug in my mission file or there is a bug in the Viper. Emmy
Are you using COMM 2 for 131.00? muehlema
Are you using COMM 2 for 131.00? You cannot tune COMM 1 to 131.00 Mhz, so yes. COMM 2 is on AM 131.00 Edited November 12, 2019 by muehlema X-Plane 11.5x / DCS 2.5.6 / P3Dv5 / Aerofly FS 2 / War Thunder Win10-x64 | ASUS Z390 Maximus VI | Intel i7-9700K @3.6GHz | Corsair Vengeance LPX 32 GB DDR4 | 6TB SSD Samsung 850 Pro | 2TB M2 PCI 4x | ASUS GTX 1080 ROG STRIX 8GB DDR5X | TM Hotas Warthog | Saitek Combat Pedals | Oculus Rift S

muehlema
Are you using the correct mic switch? Good question. Do i need to change anything if basically it is working for Wingmen and ATC, except CVN/AWACS? Harker
Good question. Do i need to change anything if basically it is working for Wingmen and ATC, except CVN/AWACS? As long as you use the correct mic switch for the UHF radio (COMM1) and the VHF radio (COMM2), you don't need to change anything. One thing to try, maybe, is to make sure that the modulation (AM/FM) is the same between the frequencies and your radio. I don't remember if this is the case in the F-16, but some radios can't do both FM and AM for all frequencies. The vCVW-17 is looking for Hornet and Tomcat pilots and RIOs. Join the vCVW-17 Discord. muehlema
VHF on 131.00 will not work. I changed AWACS to frequency 268 and it works. It uses UHF. Is there a trick to use the VHF frequencies? CVN is on 127.5 AM VHF. RaceFuel85
Question...not to be rude... But why are you trying to communicate with the carrier in a F-16? just to see if you can?
Fusedspine33
Uh,...because there is a hook switch right above the landing gear lever that is whispering “come on, you know you want to try this, why not head out to that carrier” lol Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
