FlankerMan Posted November 13, 2019 Posted November 13, 2019 Hi, I'm looking to get a new monitor for DCS. My budget is ~$300, although of course anything cheaper is also welcome. I'm looking mainly at hp and dell, but other suggestions are welcome. What matters most in a monitor for DCS? How high do I really have to go?
Svsmokey Posted November 13, 2019 Posted November 13, 2019 I wouldn't get too crazy . The pc you are looking at is for 1080p 60 hz . The 60 hz would benefit your wish to use TrackIR as well . Turn vsync on and adjust your DCS settings to always make 60 hz and you will have a smooth TiR experience . A 27" 1080p 60 hz monitor would suit your pc and TrackIr usage perfectly well , and you can get both the TiR and the monitor within your $300 budget . My own is a BenQ nuttin' fancy model costing as i remember $129 , and performed very well when i used TiR . I still use it , but only for housekeeping duty now that i fly in VR . 9700k @ stock , Aorus Pro Z390 wifi , 32gb 3200 mhz CL16 , 1tb EVO 970 , MSI RX 6800XT Gaming X TRIO , Seasonic Prime 850w Gold , Coolermaster H500m , Noctua NH-D15S , CH Pro throttle and T50CM2/WarBrD base on Foxxmounts , CH pedals , Reverb G2v2
