Bunny Clark Posted November 17, 2019 Posted November 17, 2019 I've been wondering this for while, and I don't know if it's a bug or just a feature I don't understand. Why does the EFEI have white numbers in the daytime and green numbers at night? Is it some kind of front-light back-light thing? Or just a bug with the instrument lighting? Flamin_Squirrel Posted November 17, 2019 Posted November 17, 2019 There's a 'mode' switch on the right hand panel with the other internal light switches that has NVG/NITE/DAY positions. It's white in the day position, green in the other two, IIRC.

Ziptie Posted November 17, 2019 Posted November 17, 2019 I've been wondering this for while, and I don't know if it's a bug or just a feature I don't understand. Why does the EFEI have white numbers in the daytime and green numbers at night? Is it some kind of front-light back-light thing? Or just a bug with the instrument lighting? Simply put - for night ops (in DCS) - the white is far too bright, coming from a VR user. The green is a softer projection to the eyes and also negates a large flare when using NVG. Bunny Clark Posted November 17, 2019 Author Posted November 17, 2019 Holy crap, I had no idea! Thanks everyone! That explains why it seemed to be different depending on when the mission start time was. Oil In The Water Hornet Campaign.
