Samoht Posted November 24, 2019 Posted November 24, 2019 I have been seeing Aerobatics Online continue to drop from the ED master list. This has been happening more frequently. In all cases, there are indications in the dcs.log that the server has dropped offline, however, the only way to recover the server is to restart it. As of right now, I'm catching three conditions: 2019-11-19 05:50:52.233 ERROR DCS: Failed to get authorization data. Error code is: 502 or 2019-11-19 19:41:36.446 ERROR NET: Session check failed: 401 or 2019-11-24 03:00:08.839 ERROR NET: HTTP request dcs:checksession failed with error 28: Timeout was reached Once these start appearing, the server is guaranteed to be off of the master server and the only way to get it back is to restart DCS. As you can see from the date stamps, these are all recent errors. There are two issues here: 1) something is happening with the master server <--> game client where the application enters an error state, and 2) the game client running DCS Dedicated does not know how to recover from this error state. These are independent issues and ideally, both things should be fixed. This seems to be happening more as of late, but these problems seem to have been a part of DCS world for about the last six months. ED Team BIGNEWY Posted November 24, 2019 ED Team Posted November 24, 2019 Hi thanks for the data, When you see the server drop out can your do a tracert to the master server. It is difficult to establish if this is a master server issue, or ISP or server hop somewhere on route which could be having timeouts. Forum rules - DCS Crashing? Samoht Posted November 25, 2019 Author Posted November 25, 2019 I actually don't know the address of the master server. I could probably figure it out, but if you have a quick reference to it, paste it here. I'll see about adding some additional diagnostics that get performed when my session manager catches those error conditions and forces a server restart.
