zippoa Posted December 5, 2019 Posted December 5, 2019 Greetings! Is it possible to set map like in KA-50 and not like in A-10C? Because currently used in KA-50, same map as on F10 is nice looking and understandable. And map from A-10C, that is used also in F/A-18, AV-8B is just awful
SliderCDN Posted December 6, 2019 Posted December 6, 2019 Map in Ka50 is just the crappy F10 map. Charts in F18 and Harrier are realistic.
Harlikwin Posted December 6, 2019 Posted December 6, 2019 There are 2 map options for jf17. New hotness: I7 9700k 4.8ghz, 32gb ddr4, 2080ti, :joystick: TM Warthog. TrackIR, HP Reverb (formermly CV1) Old-N-busted: i7 4720HQ ~3.5GHZ, +32GB DDR3 + Nvidia GTX980m (4GB VRAM) :joystick: TM Warthog. TrackIR, Rift CV1 (yes really).
QuiGon Posted December 6, 2019 Posted December 6, 2019 Map in Ka50 is just the crappy F10 map. Charts in F18 and Harrier are realistic. This! Intel i7-12700K @ 8x5GHz+4x3.8GHz + 32 GB DDR5 RAM + Nvidia Geforce RTX 2080 (8 GB VRAM) + M.2 SSD + Windows 10 64Bit DCS Panavia Tornado (IDS) really needs to be a thing!
zippoa Posted December 6, 2019 Author Posted December 6, 2019 Cool, found that option in settings! Best option forever
Fri13 Posted December 6, 2019 Posted December 6, 2019 Map in Ka50 is just the crappy F10 map. Charts in F18 and Harrier are realistic. The F10 map is the KA-50 ABRIS map, that is the REAL ABRIS map.... ED didn't invent F10 map, they simply used the real ABRIS map to implement F10 map as they already did it. So you can take your "crappy" back, as those rasterized maps in A-10, hornet, viper etc are crap as you can't see anything it them, that you don't see detailed positions of targets, tactical information of buildings etc. For what the NATO charts are usable are waypoint level of detail, that you know are you 20nm or 100nm from specific area etc. 3 i7-8700k, 32GB 2666Mhz DDR4, 2x 2080S SLI 8GB, Oculus Rift S. i7-8700k, 16GB 2666Mhz DDR4, 1080Ti 11GB, 27" 4K, 65" HDR 4K.

WarbossPetross Posted September 18, 2021 Posted September 18, 2021 Does anyone know where does the all-blue colour scheme for the vector map come from? Is it officially used on JF-17 IRL or something? Asking because I would rather use that but it's virtually illegible for me.
