Taxi light in VR

Hi folks,

 

the taxi light at Kutaisi airfield in VR (Oculus Rift CV1) on the left eye looks like this:

 

I'm currently using Openbeta 2.5.5.40647, rest of system specs see in my signature.

I remember the light looking correctly in an older version, but I might be wrong.

this will happen if you are using flat shadows, it is an unfortunate side effect of lowering the settings in this case.

 

Check shadows settings and let me know.

It does relate to the F-16 IMHO.

I am often flying without shadows, due to performance issues, I have them off currently.

Reading your answer, I do not remember having this issue with the Viggen. So I turned on my computer, and made 2 screens.

 

Not that I want to blame you, but the HB guys obviously use a different strategy for taxi lights (which in fact work). See my two screens:

 

EDIT: just wanted to let you know that the clipping effect isn't happening in the Viggen, F-14B, F-15C, L-39, Su-27, MiG-29, F-5. The Hawk I didn't test :D
