Dannyvandelft Posted December 20, 2019 Posted December 20, 2019 Apologies if this has been answered before. I just got the A-10c with the winter sale and while going through the startup and takeoff tutorial, I noticed my seating position seems good, but I can't see right out of the HUD. I have to duck down to see what I'm assuming is the gun reticle, the dotted circle, and my heading indicator. If I adjust my camera down, I feel like my head is on the seat cushion and everything else is off. Edit: I fly with the Rift S. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk

Dannyvandelft Posted December 20, 2019 Author Posted December 20, 2019 Have you tried to lower the seat itself? I will try that thank you! Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
betatrash Posted December 20, 2019 Posted December 20, 2019 (edited) You can edit the default position in a file called SnapViews.Lua (per aircraft, file contains views for all). You can also save snap views from within the game, the get the correct position. However, you may have to copy the snapview angles inside the file to the 'default' snapview, as I'm not sure which view (default or 0-9) affects VR and TrackIR. Some of the views are designed to zoom in on instruments or left/right panels, others are general directions, and one is the default which is used for the key 'center view'. Dannyvandelft Posted December 20, 2019 Author Posted December 20, 2019 So I lowered the seat, which brought the HUD in line, but now it feels like I'm sitting too deep in the cockpit. I have to look waaaaay up there to my rearview mirrors. It seems like the standard seating position is good, but the whole dash and HUD itself needs to be raised up. On all my other modules the standard seating position is perfect. Here I feel like the HUD is at chest height rather than head height. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
Fri13 Posted December 20, 2019 Posted December 20, 2019 Someone said that the HUD is suppose to be lower... i7-8700k, 32GB 2666Mhz DDR4, 2x 2080S SLI 8GB, Oculus Rift S. i7-8700k, 16GB 2666Mhz DDR4, 1080Ti 11GB, 27" 4K, 65" HDR 4K.
GTFreeFlyer Posted December 20, 2019 Posted December 20, 2019 This is not an A2A aircraft. It is A2G and you’ll be looking at things on the ground through the HUD. Just google A-10 Warthog and search the images. You’ll see that it is correct. The eye of the pilot is almost in line with the top edge of the HUD. Those are all out of view above the HUD. That can't be correct. I understand that in an A2A HUD the artificial horizon would be lower in the HUD than in an A2G HUD, but those things should at least be visible. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
