schmit Posted December 20, 2019 Posted December 20, 2019 I am not sure the coordinates of Mont St Michel are the right ones ! The Mont St Michel is off shore (close to the shore but off shore).
twistking Posted December 21, 2019 Posted December 21, 2019 you are familair with the concpet of tides?? My improved* wishlist after a decade with DCS *now with 17% more wishes compared to the original
twistking Posted December 21, 2019 Posted December 21, 2019 He probably is, but DCS World isn't !! fair enough. this is still not a bug then and should maybe better be a feature request for simulated tides or something... hornblower793 Posted December 21, 2019 Posted December 21, 2019 I think it is in the right place but the tide is definitely out - you can walk to it across the sands in this state - the road to it is also present - agree the tide condition would be nice Windows 11 Home ¦ Z790 AORUS Elite AX motherboard ¦ i7-13700K ¦ 64GB Corsair Vengeance DDR5 memory @ 5600MHz ¦ Samsung 990 Pro 1TB SSD for OS, Samsung 980 Pro 2TB SSD for DCS ¦ MSI GeForce RTX 4090 Gaming X Trio 24GB ¦ Virpil WarBRD base with VFX grip, Thrustmaster A10c and F/A-18 grips ¦ VKB Gunfighter Mk4 and MCG Pro ¦ Thrustmaster Warthog Throttle ¦ VKB STECS Throttle ¦ Virpil TCS rotor base with Shark and AH-64D grips ¦ MFG Crosswinds ¦ Total Controls Multi-Function Button Box ¦ Pimax Crystal
crazyeddie Posted December 22, 2019 Posted December 22, 2019 Cant see that being implemented anytime soon, it would be a very complicated thing to do. But, you never know.
schmit Posted December 22, 2019 Author Posted December 22, 2019 Coordinates are right. But the contours of the coast are not the good ones. Obviously, it is not a problem of tide because this phenomenon is not implemented in DCS.

Obviously, it is not a problem of tide because this phenomenon is not implemented in DCS. i think you have to be more specific with what you mean. tides are not simulated in dcs, yet it is obvious that the normandy map depicts the coast at low tide. also remember that the actual coastline changes over the years, especially at an estuary and the normandy map is dated to 1944...
