BonerCat Posted December 21, 2019 Posted December 21, 2019 I have a question Is it possible to do any INS fix with jester, and if it's not, is such a feature planned? To be more specific, i mean any kind whatsoever to get jester to update own aircraft position. Even sitting on a ramp and feeding coords manually to jester would suffice for my question. Thanks! Home Fries Posted December 21, 2019 Posted December 21, 2019 That's a good question. A visual fix would be difficult because you would need to use the wheel at the exact time you're overflying the object (likely at low level). A TACAN fix would be easy enough to select the TACAN (pilot or RIO channel), but Jester would need to know which waypoint was for that TACAN. I suppose the pilot could choose the fix waypoints in both cases, and a TACAN fix would be easier to perform. -Home Fries My DCS Files and Skins My DCS TARGET Profile for Cougar or Warthog and MFDs F-14B LANTIRN Guide
QuiGon Posted December 22, 2019 Posted December 22, 2019 Not possible yet, but they're thinking about it: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=4046540#post4046540 Intel i7-12700K @ 8x5GHz+4x3.8GHz + 32 GB DDR5 RAM + Nvidia Geforce RTX 2080 (8 GB VRAM) + M.2 SSD + Windows 10 64Bit DCS Panavia Tornado (IDS) really needs to be a thing!
