How do I set up rocket-pods to ripple fire? On the Harrier and F-5 it can be changed within the kneeboard, but only laser code is shown on the F-16 kneeboard/weapon page. There is a setting in the mission editor that works, but it is not very usable unless you are making your own missions.

You change the ripple fire amount on the SMS INV page for the rocket.

Hit the A-G master mode button, hit the button on the right MFD that switches between A-G weapons and below it should be a RPL or something like that. That's where you change the ripple settings.

My bad - ripple isn't something you can select I guess. Just if you want to fire single or in pairs.

Are you wanting to tell it to shoot like... 10 rockets with every push of the weapon release?

I don't believe you can do that.

Yes you can :) There is a setting in the mission editor. But none ”in-game”. On other modules it is usually selectable on kneeboard page (should probably be in the groundcrew/rearm menu instead)

Anyways, seems like it is not implemented. Mods feel free to move this thread into Wishlist section.

There are two kinds of rocket quantity character: The number of rockets to be fired when a pod receives a pulse and the number of pulses the airplane delivers to the pod.

Some airplanes rely entirely on the pod's configuration to determine how many rockets are released per pulse. Others can deliver multiple multiple pulses per button press (e.g. A-10C). Because this pulse-per-button is changeable in the airplane software the pilot has on-the-fly control over this.

As for the F-16, I think you can set "RP" for rockets such that you don't have to pre-configure the pod for shotgun release. You absolutely can physically configure LAU-131s for that but there's a good chance they never do with F-16s provided the F-16 can set up whatever pulse quantity you want.

Changing Ripple Quantity

This is another one that you can probably run through quick on the ground before taking off based on your own preferences, but of course, sometimes you just don't know what the picture out there is, so it may not always be possible to set it before takeoff.
