xanstin Posted January 7, 2020 Posted January 7, 2020 Noticed the sabres with me didn’t dive bomb on the bridges they dropped from altitude level flight. They all missed consequently. Not sure if it was just the AI being DCS AI or maybe a dive bomb flag issue.
Reflected Posted January 7, 2020 Posted January 7, 2020 Hi, On all ground attack missions, AI has a tasking called "attack group" to make sure they bomb what they need to bomb. For some reason the DCS Sabre performs this task from a level flight, I don't know of a way to change this. There is a "ground attack" tasking called "bombing", with an option to "dive bomb", but I'm not sure it would work as a given command. I will have a look into it. Facebook Instagram YouTube Discord
Reflected Posted January 8, 2020 Posted January 8, 2020 OK, I fiddled around and tested the mission extensively: I could change the main tasking to ground attack from CAS, and then AI Sabres would dive bomb instead of level bomb, but then we'd lose many other functionalities of commanding the AI flight, which is definitely not worth it. I know WW2 planes automatically attack in a dive, perhaps the Sabre can be updated to behave like that? Thanks for the idea, though! Facebook Instagram YouTube Discord
