lesthegrngo Posted January 8, 2020 Posted January 8, 2020 Guys, I am trying to find a way of controlling certain menus without having to use a mouse. While I know that the mouse can't be completely done away with, I want to be able to assign certain commands to keys here is an example; You are flying, and want to exit the current mission, and go to another. The ESC key is pressed bringing up the menu. At this point, as far as I can tell, you HAVE to use the mouse, even if it is to choose exit. If that menu could be navigated with the TAB or arrow keys and then ENTER, it would be simple to rig up a basic navigation panel with some buttons on it connected to either a keyboard circuit board or use Joy2Key to assign keyboard inputs to the keys Do any of you know if this is possible? Cheers Les
ED Team BIGNEWY Posted January 8, 2020 ED Team Posted January 8, 2020 Hi Not sure it is possible currently. Keys like TAB and the arrow keys already have functions within DCS world. lesthegrngo Posted January 8, 2020 Author Posted January 8, 2020 Ok, is it possible to assign them to joystick buttons or one of the inputs from an input interface board like the Leo Bodnar units? Cheers Les

lesthegrngo Posted January 9, 2020 Author Posted January 9, 2020 Thanks, but this still requires me to have preset codes or sequences to be able to get VoiceAttack to choose the correct option in the menu, in which case those codes or sequences could be allocated to keystrokes or button pushes Cheers
Chic Posted January 10, 2020 Posted January 10, 2020 (edited) Using VoiceAttack’s cursor moving functionality, you can navigate those menus without involving any key bindings. “Leave Server”, “Exit”, “Resume” etc... with a single voice command. One can also actuate all the icons in the f10 menu using same modality. I do it in 2D. Pretty sure it can be done in VR as well.
