TheMoose Posted October 20, 2007 Posted October 20, 2007 Talk about service. I bought an Nvidia 6800GT from BFG, like 5 years ago. There credo, life time warranty and over clocked, stocked. I have to admit when I bought that card, was like 600$ at that time. (sorry addict to lomac) Anyhow short story, I burned that card, recon over use (Never did had to overclocked at that point, wll maybe my old cpu, but shut, lol) I was surprised, no receipt required, they replaced it with an Nvidia 7800GTS with 256Mb no questions asked. Took a bit of time since AGP flavor are getting rarer. Got to love service that with only there name branded on there product, they commit to it. So my 2nd PC is up. Cool BFG, surpassed my expectation on support and their commitment on there lifetime warranty, for a company to stand on such principals, it takes lots of gusto and cash to commit to such... I wanted to share this small story, just in case you are considering an upgrade on your vid card. Anyhow from personal experience. BFG does stand tall. (PS: no I don’t work for them. I'm just the average Joe that was blessed by there service.) TheMoose Posted October 20, 2007 Author Posted October 20, 2007 Thanks ED, Wags and all Beta testers. Cheers PS question: I know there will be some sort of pdf format for the manual. Possibly and expected, you might be able to buy it online. You have my support. My question is: will it come with a default key card? It would very useful. Please consider a default key card for the average Joe that wants to learn all. And Not a PDF key card please. Please include a piece of carton in the distribution box with this inside. Basically what I’m requesting is some type of default key bindings to allow myself to learn and challenge myself. Keep up the good work; I am looking forward to this Chopper. Been waiting for years, and will wait more until you think it’s acceptable by your standards. You have high standards; I applaud you for being as such. I admit I was sad knowing that BS will not be part of LO as bragged about on your main website for 2 years. Things changes, Technologies as well. The idea of building a core engine and building around it with the add ons, is and awesome idea. But hopefully the purchaser of the core engine will be able to benefit of any upgrades made on thereof without being obligated, to re purchased? This is where I’m concerned about the Idea. I willing to buy a core engine with a add-on. But the next add-on will mostly will require additional tweaking? Will you bring out a core patch without touching the addon? Etc. Sorry I’m new to this marketing. I’m trying to understand it. Thanks for clarifying it. zaelu Posted October 20, 2007 Posted October 20, 2007 Peased to hear about that. I have a 7950GT from BFG for some months and it's working flowlessly at this moment. I took the liberty to change the stock cooller with a Thermalright HR-03 though ;).
